False cases framed against me, says Shehbaz Sharif as court approves his transit remand
LAHORE: LAHORE: An accountability court on Thursday granted a 7-day transit remand of PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif being held by the anti-corruption watchdog in Ashiana housing case.
Sharif, who has been in NAB’s custody since October 5, was spoke in his own defense and said, “False cases were framed against me.” “NAB officials blackmail me. I have blood cancer and am not being permitted a medical check-up,” Shehbaz told the court.
After hearing the argument, the court NAB’s request to extend Sharif’s transit remand.
Shehbaz Sharif will now be flown to Islamabad to attend the National Assembly’s session starting on Friday.
Earlier, on November 10, Shehbaz’s physical remand was extended till November 24.
On November 6, an accountability court in Islamabad had extended the PML-N president’s transit remand till November 10 to enable him to attend NA sessions.
