PMDC failed in taking action against non registered doctors
Islamabad: Ministry of Health and Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) seems to be silent on illegal practice of around 90 doctors in four biggest hospitals in the capital.
According to details, it was unearthed in a meeting of Senate Standing Committee on Health that PMDC has failed to take any action against illegal practitioners.
Committee had sought from PDMC a list of illegal practitioners of PIMS, Polyclinic, NIRM and FGHS.
It must be mentioned here that for the last 14 years, 90 doctors out of 616, have not registered themselves in PMDC and continuing their illegitimate practice in various government hospitals.
