Asghar Khan case to remain open: SC
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has today taken decision for not closing the Asghar Khan case.
A two-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar remarked during the hearing that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has forwarded request to close the case file.
Court further said that Asghar Khan efforts will not go in vain and added that court would seek response from the FIA.
“How can we close the case, we will carry out investigation into the matter ” the chief justice was quoted as saying by private TV channels.
The hearing now adjourned till January 25.
It must be mentioned here that In 1996, Air Marshall Asghar Khan had approached the Supreme Court of Pakistan in view of inquiry into distribution of money among politicians during 1990 elections.
