Islamabad citizens will get driving licenses within one day: Afridi
ISLAMABAD: The citizens of Islamabad will be provided their driving licenses within a single day, said Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Afridi, on Tuesday.
Addressing a ceremony at the federal capital, Shehryar Afridi said that the government was committed to making the life of the common man easy and convenient.
“Citizens of Islamabad will be able to get their driving licenses within one day,” he said. “They will be able to obtain their driving licenses for the normal fees.”
On the topic of narcotics, he said that the government was committed to eliminate the scourge of drugs from the country.
“Giving respect and dispensation of justice to the general public is foremost responsibility of the government,” he said.
Speaking on the Sahiwal tragedy, the minister said that those who were complicit would be punished severely.
“There is a need to change the police culture in Pakistan,” he said.
