T-series deletes Pakistani singers’ songs from its YouTube channel
Decision taken following to Pulwama attack and MNS threat
In a series of the unethical and regrettable behavior of government of India soon after Pulwama attack, now one of its far-right extremist political party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has directed all music label companies to immediately stop working with Pakistani singers and musicians.
T-Series has deleted all songs of Pakistani singers from company’s official YouTube channel.
The top notch Indian music companies like T-Series, Sony Music, Venus, Tips Music are told by the MNS that if they not stop working with Pakistani singers then we will take action in our own style,” MNS representative said this in his threatening message.
“We have verbally communicated to Indian music companies like T-Series, Sony Music, Venus and Tips Music etc to not work with Pakistani singers. These companies should stop it immediately or we will take action in our own style,” said Amey Khopkar, head of the MNS Chitrapat Sena.
Recently, Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series had collaborated with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Atif Aslam for two different singles.
The same practice was earlier followed by the Raj Thackeray-led party in 2016 soon after the Uri attack on Indian forces in Jammu Kashmir where also MNS had threatened Pakistani artists by given a 48-hour deadline to them to leave India otherwise face consequences.
