Islamabad administration takes control over mosques, seminaries of banned outfits: DC Islamabad

The Islamabad administration has taken complete control of all those mosques and religious seminaries that were being operated under the umbrella of banned outfits following to handing  those over to Auqaf department.

According to details, the mosques and madrassahs have been taken into control subsequent operation that will take place across the board against proscribed organisations in the light of the National Action Plan (NAP).

Sources disclosed that Quba Masjid, Madni Masjid, Ali Asghar Masjid, Madrassah Khalid bin Waleed and Madrassah Zi-ul-Quran have been taken into control by the Auqaf Department.

New imams and preachers have been appointed by the Auqaf Department in the mosques and the madrassahs.

Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad also unearthed this on official Twitter handle saying “Islamabad Administration has taken over Mosques and Madaris of proscribed / banned organizations.”

“Mosques have been handed over to the Auqaf Department and Assistant Commissioner has been appointed as administrator for running day to day affairs”, DC Islamabad added in his tweet.

In another tweet by the DC Islamabad, he tweeted “Active members of proscribed/banned organizations in Islamabad have been arrested and placed under custody.”
