Brigadier (r) Asad Munir commits suicide: sources
ISLAMABAD: Ex-member Capital Development Authority (CDA), Brigadier (retd) Asad Munir, has today committed suicide, police officials said.
Sources disclosed that Munir’s body was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his apartment federal capital’s diplomatic enclave.
In past, Munir had also worked on the post of former director of intelligence agency Peshawar.
It must be mentioned here that the slain Munir was accused by the country’s anti-graft watchdog for misusing his authority and restoring a plot in F-11 area of the federal capital.
Following to which, Munir got saddened over media reports that ran a day earlier stating that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) during its executive board meeting had granted approval for the filing of a reference against him and this could be the reason of his suicide, family sources said.
Asad’s elder brother Khalid Munir also shared the news of his death on his official Twitter:

His funeral will be held H-8 graveyard at 5:00pm today.
