Discarded Fawad Alam enters Pakistan’s showbiz industry?
KARACHI: Pakistan’s ignored left-handed batsman and domestic cricket top performer Fawad Alam finds his feet in the drama industry.
Fawad Alam is making his maiden appearance in PTV’s comedy-drama ‘Ghar Damad’.
Fawad, who made three Test appearances for Pakistan since his debut in 2009, played a cameo role in PTV’s one of the famous serials.
In the serial, Fawad plays the role of a cricketer whose car got stuck in front of a house. A fellow actor takes the cricketer inside the house.
The family members make the most of his appearance in their house and call all the relatives and neighbours to meet the left-handed batsman.
It is worth mentioning here that the 33-years-old discarded cricketer is overlooked by the selectors despite piling hefty scores in domestic cricket.
He has scored more than 10,000 runs in first-class cricket at an average of 56.08. He has also played 38 ODIs and 3 Tests for Pakistan.
