Hamza Shehbaz to summon before NAB today
LAHORE: Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz on Monday will appear before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The anti-graft body has arranged strict security arrangements ahead of the arrival of Hamza, son of the PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif.
Hamza is being probed in cases pertaining to assets beyond known sources of income, Saaf Pani case as well as Ramzan Sugar Mills case, for which he is also summoned on Tuesday.
The Lahore High Court on Monday restrained NAB from arresting Hamza. NAB had carried out two successive raids on April 5 and 6 at Shehbaz’s Model Town residence to arrest Hamza.
NAB has also sent summon notices to Hamza’s mother and two sisters on April 17, 18 and 19 to inquire about business transactions in the case.
