Pak’s Fatima Irfan clinches gold medal in Ju-Jitsu World Cup 2019
BANGKOK: Pakistan’s Fatima Irfan clinched gold medal in Newaza -57Kg category of the Ju-Jitsu World Cup 2019 for University and Students of Higher Education in Thailand.
According to details, Fatima Irfan claimed gold, Dilawar Khan Sannan and Muhammad Ali Rasheed grabbed silver in the Double Classic category, while Dilawar Khan Sannan and Fatima Irfan claimed silver for in Duo Classic Mix category.
Pakistan Ju-Jitsu players hoisted the Pakistani flag in their first appearance in the Ju-Jitsu World Cup 2019, where athletes from Colleges and Universities from the globe participated in the event which was organized by the Ju-Jitsu International Federation (JJIF).
However, President of Pakistan Ju-Jitsu Federation (PJJF) Khalil Ahmed Khan lauded the efforts of athletes. While the Associate Secretary of PJJF Tariq Ali said that this achievement has been marked without any support from the government.
