Rizwan tops ‘Yo Yo’ fitness test ahead of World Cup 2019
Pak cricketers fitness tests for ICC World Cup 2019 completed
LAHORE: Fitness tests of the national cricket team for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 completed on Monday at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). According to sources, wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan tops in ‘Yo Yo’ test with 20 points, Meanwhile skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shan Masood and Hassan Ali also passed the fitness test, while opening batsman Abid Ali reportedly fail in fitness test.
22 players reached the NCA for their examination. Injured Imad Wasim suffered from fitness issues while Mohammad Hafeez’s selection depends upon his robustness.
It is worth mentioning here that Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq will announce the 15-member squad for the World Cup 2019 on April 18. The team will depart for London on April 23 to play one-off T20I and five ODIs against England ahead of the World Cup.
The World Cup is scheduled from May 30 where Pakistan will open their campaign against West Indies on May 31 at Nottingham.
