Hearing of Ashiana, Ramzan Sugar Mills cases adjourned till May 25
LAHORE: An accountability court has today adjourned the hearing of the Ashiana-e-Iqbal and Ramzan Sugar Mills cases till May 25.
The court has reserved its decision on the exemption requests of Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz.
Moreover, Shehbaz Sharif had also submitted an application in the court for his exemption for appearing in person for a day which was later accepted by the court.
It is pertinent to mention here that the last hearing was mainly adjourned on account of the absence of the judge who was scheduled to conduct the hearing.
In the light of the references filed by the conutry’s anti-graft watchdog against former CM Punjab Shehbaz and his son Hamza, both has been indicted in the Ramzan Sugar Mills case
NAB had filed a reference against the two alleging that Shehbaz durinmg the time of holdiong the office of provincial chief minister has misused his authority for developing a bridge that will facilitate sugar mills owned by his children.
The bridge is set to have been constructed by utilizing the public funds.
