Lahore High Court grants bail to PTI’s Aleem Khan
The Lahore High Court today has accepted the bail plea of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and former senior minister of Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan who was taken into custody by the anti-graft watchdog body.
PTI leader has been granted bail in a case pertaining to owing assets that were disproportionate to his known source of income.
Divisional bench of the Lahore High Court granted bail to the leader of the ruling PTI against surety bonds of Rs 10 million.
Aleem Khan was elected from PP-158 (Lahore-XV) in July 25 polls last year.
Prior to his arrest by the NAB, he served as a Punjab’s Senior Minister for Local Government & Community Development in February.
Khan was tasked by Prime Minister Imran Khan to lead the party’s efforts in achieving 100-Days agenda.
