Salman Shah reigns as Punjab CM’s advisor after Akram Chaudhry resigns
LAHORE: Economist Salman Shah has been appointed new Advisor to Punjab Chief Minister following Akram Chaudhry’s resignation from post.
It is believed that Chaudhry excused himself from taking charge of Food Authority Chairmanship which he was offered on government’s orders
On Tuesday, Chaudhry stepped down from his position, leaving his office vacant for the new advisor.
The recently-appointed advisor Dr Salman Shah has earlier served as an advisor to the then prime minister Shaukat Aziz.
Shah would serve as Adviser on Economic Affairs and Planning ahead of the budget 2019-20, a notification issued by the government stated on Wednesday.
