Dollar hike: PM orders action against companies selling dollar at exorbitant rates
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered all the authorities concerned to take immediate action against all those foreign exchange companies which are selling US dollar at excessive rates, sources informed yesterday.
According to details, PM Khan headed the meeting related to ongoing wave of fluctuations in the rates of foreign currency where the representatives of E-Commerce Association of Pakistan (ECAP) and top notch government officials were also present.

It was decided in the meeting that all those companies deviating from set currency rates would not be given any concession.
It is pertinent to mention here that during the meeting it was also decided that subsequent to the recently announced amnesty scheme, action will be taken against those individuals who fail to complete in declaring their assets position.
Following to the recent hike in the US dollar rate after it reached to Rs146.25 in open market, ECAP delegates gave assurance of not supporting companies selling foreign currency at higher rates.
