Zardari seeks action against NAB chief for ‘unlawful’ press conference
ISLAMABAD: Former president Asif Ali Zardari has called for the government to take action against the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal for :”holding an unlawful press conference.”
In an informal talk to media after appearing before an accountability court in Islamabad, Zardari said that the interview was a violation of the law.
“How can the economy of a country be revived after handcuffing and arresting elderly persons?” he questioned.
Earlier, the accountability court adjourned the hearing of fake bank accounts case against PPP leaders Asif Ali Zardari and Faryal Talpur till May 30.
The case was postponed as the copies of the interim reference – filed by the National Accountability Bureau – could not be provided to the former president Asif Zardari and his sister, Faryal Talpur.
