A notification was released by the government to bar PPP workers from arriving in Islamabad from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and other parts of the country.

Bilawal took to Twitter to slam the government’s decision. The PPP chairman said that it was a violation of the democratic right of freedom of assembly.

“Despite no official call to protest, party workers have begun to reach Islamabad. In violation of every Pakistanis democratic rights of freedom of assembly panicked govt. released a midnight notification to harass opponents in KP, Punjab & Islamabad. Dartay hain Tabdelee walay…,” he tweeted.

PPP Punjab leader Chaudhry Manzoor said that stopping PPP workers from assembling in the capital was a cowardly move. He said that jiyalas would accompany their party leaders regardless of the government’s intentions.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former president Asif Ali Zardari will appear before NAB. The anti-graft body had called the father-son duo separately in the fictitious bank accounts case.
