Shaheen’s cameo proved turning point of the final, says Rizwan

The HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) final was won by the Lahore Qalandars against the Multan Sultans by a narrow one-run margin. In the post-final press conference, both captains heaped praise on each other, with Shaheen Shah Afridi of Lahore Qalandars praising Mohammad Rizwan of the Multan Sultans for his impressive performance in scoring over 500 runs in consecutive PSL editions and amassing over 1,000 runs in international contests in a calendar year. Meanwhile, Rizwan commended Shaheen's aggressive batting, which he considered to be the turning point of the match. Shaheen's 15-ball 44 helped Qalandars reach a respectable total of 200, while Rizwan's team fell just short in their chase, despite his team's valiant efforts. Shaheen was named captain of the Team of PSL 8 by an independent panel.
