Mosques in the United Kingdom that follow Saudi Arabia have announced that the holy month of Ramadan will commence on Thursday, March 23, along with most other Gulf states, including Saudi Arabia. Taraweeh prayers at UK mosques are set to begin on Wednesday night. It is expected that the celebration of Eidul Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, will be observed on the same day throughout the country. The Central Jamaat Ahl-e-Sunnah Britain and Overseas Trust also announced the start of Ramadan on Thursday.
