Karachi experienced heavy rainfall in several areas early on Wednesday, bringing pleasant weather to the city. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain clouds over the Arabian Sea moved towards Karachi and other parts of Sindh, causing moderate to heavy rainfall with thunderstorms in areas like Badin, Thatta, and Hyderabad. The PMD had previously issued an advisory about a strong westerly wave expected to enter Pakistan from March 21, which is likely to cause scattered rain, wind, dust, thunderstorms, and isolated hailstorms in several parts of the country, including Karachi, until March 23. Concerned authorities have been advised to remain alert to avoid any untoward situations during this period.
